Boomer

Standard

(Grape, Elephant, Lunar)

There once was an elephant named Boomer.
It was early but he wanted to eat sooner.
Among other such junk
He sucked a grape up his trunk
Then he sneezed and the orb is now lunar.

What do you know, another elephant poem.  There seems to be a pattern emerging here…

  1. Great poem Neeks. I liked it 🙂

Thanks Scriptor, something about an elephant just brings out the silly in me, so a limerick it is!

  2. Hahahaha! Perfect! I love limericks and can just imagine that lone lunar grape slowly circling the earth.

Hehehe, thanks for stopping by again!

  3. As far as I can tell, you could just keep on writing about elephants forever, neeks. But I know the next time I see a post from you, it will be about a completely different, equally enchanting lead character.

Thank you Judith, your kind words are appreciated!

  4. Love it! I read it to my kids and now they are literally rolling on the floor laughing about a grape covered in elephant snot circling the planet. So awesome! =D

Thanks Desi! Now I’m laughing too!

  5. Very sweet! Elephants always make me smile, so this was a nice lift to my mid-day slump.

Hehehe, thank you 🙂 Elephants do that don’t they, just make you smile. Especially the little ones!

  6. I think the grape landed on my windshield. I found you on Limebird, and you mentioned being near Valdosta… My wife, kids, and I are in Tallahassee… are you nearby? Just looking for fellow writers in the area.

I am, Ryan. I work in Valdosta. Small world isn’t it!
